Sunrise in Dee Why

I love the sunrise. The only problem is I hate early mornings so it is a bit of a struggle to get up, out and taking photos so early. However when I see what I have taken and how happy they make me I guess less sleep is definitely worth it.

Tyre tracks in the sand.

Photo

Closeup of bee leaving a flower.

Photo

I was so lucky to capture this moment. I was about to take a photo of the flower with a much smaller bug sitting on the petals when this much larger bee came along. Scaring the little bug away but making a much better shot for me. I was quite stoked that I got it as the bee flew away only moments later giving me only 3 photos. Just proves sometimes you have to be at the right place at the right time.

Wants of summers return.

P42

It's starting to get cold now. Not as cold as many other places get but cold enough. I enjoy the brightness and warmth of summer. The ease of photography. The fact I can walk out of the house and I know I will have something to shoot with relative ease. Autumn is gorgeous in it's own beauty. So is winter. However it takes more effort to get your camera settings right. Not to mention getting the weather right.

What weather to you prefer to shoot in?

Forster sunset #3

On a recent holiday I was lucky enough to head up the top floor at a friends apartment to get some sunset photos. Needless to say we were blessed with a brilliant sunset. I hope you enjoy.

Too abstract?

Img_3373e

For a landscape architecture shot do you think this is too abstract or do the lines create interest? Discuss.

A sneak peak of my photo shoot at Shellcove.

My first camera.

Photo

I love this old camera. I just got some b/w film for it however it's not working properly at the moment. I think I have to take it apart and see what's going wrong. Wish me luck.

First

Well this will be the first of many posts on here about work I am doing, my gear, sights I have visited or just about me and my camera. Firstly however I shall let you know a bit about me.

Right now I am a 26 year old photographer and barista who lives on Sydney's northern beaches.

Recently I launched my website, http://chrisgardnerphotography.com.au, and specialize in photo shoots of landscape architecture. I love taking photos of the outdoors so my speciality also plays to my passion.

I am also working as a barista at the moment as my day job whilst I build my business and client list and also for those rainy days, like the next week is meant to be.

I hope you follow my blog and journey and please visit my website.

Chris.
